It’s time to continue with our reading of The Little Book of Icelandic. In today’s section we look at a brief history of the Icelandic language and why it has such a hopelessly complicated grammar, plus which language is the closest to Icelandic (so close, in fact, that we can carry on conversations with each other, which—given the complexity of Icelandic—is saying a lot).
